I have so much to report.

Last July, Ann and I moved to Washington, DC. We now live in the far northeast corner of Capitol Hill on a quiet section of F Street NE.

We moved so that I could take up the position of Director of the Big Box Collaborative, an alliance of groups battling Wal-Mart and the "big box" retail stores. The first shareholder resolution that I ever filed was at Wal-Mart back in 1992. It's interesting how my work has turned full circle.

I miss Boston badly.

There's more to follow.

Welcome back

Had wondered where you'd got to. Your move has very strong mental correlations with TV watching in this house as Steph (on her way to 17) works her way through my collection of Ally McBeal DVDs and I in turn work my way through The West Wing (lots of late night working at home, sorting through people's receipts, needs human company).

We found some other older stragglers while you were away, Pete Doubleday (back and playing Mr Grumpy in Birmingham) and William Whyte. Maybe I should google a bit harder and try and track down the likes of Rob Chapman and Rip Gooch.

I was psyched that Pete Doubleday started posting on Pete Birks' LJ. I'd love to meet up with him the next time I'm in the UK.

In America, old time Diplomacy hobby stalwarts seem to congregate at The Abyssinian Prince, Jim Burgess' long-running zine. You will find Rip Gooch there GMing RR games.

Yay, Simon! Good to "see" you! Are you coming back for a visit anytime soon? We'd love to come visit you, maybe later in Spring, if it wouldn't be an imposition. Say hi to Ann for me.

How goes the fight against the evil fruit of Sam Walton's brain-loins?
